The choice of Junior F. Barber as Employee-of-theYear did not surprise many staff members and patients who have benefited from his skillful handling of the ambulance in stressful situations.
Barber's outstanding contribution to the Culpeper Memorial Hospital as chief ambulance driver and housekeeping technician is highly respected by those who work with him.
"Mr. Barber is on call for ambulance runs at all hours,” says Jack Griffin, director of Buildings and Grounds. “In addition to his ambulance work, Junior works an assigned housekeeping shift. He is pleasant and effective moving from one task to another.”
Driving the ambulance for six years, Barber has clocked over 100,000 accident-free miles. Employed at CMH for eight years, Junior has received perfect attendance awards the past four years. r
