The Friends of the Rappahannock County Library have scheduled another in its series of lecture/discussion programs on American literature. The latest series, “America’s Coming of Age: Stylistic Novels of the Twenties” will be held at the library beginning September 9.
The series will focus on four novels written between 1919 and 1929 which reflect the changes in American society following World War I and the changing literary styles of the period.
The library is now accepting reservations for the series and the books which will be featured in the program are available for purchase and loan at the library, librarian Dee Brents said. Ms. Brents added that although the library is requesting that people interested in the program register prior to the first session, there is no charge for the series and the public is invited.
