Illinois in Chicago. After his internship in general surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, he was a resident in orthopedics there. Prior to moving to Culpeper, Dr. Perlmutter wasassociated with the NorthCare Medical Group in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Perlmutter heard of Culpeper and Blue Ridge Orthopaedics from a fellow physician. When he visited here, he remembers, ‘‘I was pleased to find the operating room as well equipped orthopedically as the hospital where I trained.” Dr. Perlmutter and his wife, Beth, an attorney, reside on East Street in Culpeper. “We both grew up in small towns, and life in Culpeper reminds us of home,”savs Dr. Perlmutter. The Perlmutters enjoy camping and exploring trails on their tandem bike.
