16 DaV8 of Glory will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on Nov. 29 and 30 at 7:30 each evening. The 1984 Summer Olympics are captured here in a way never before available to the public. This official record of the Los Angeles games captures the most spectacular moments with superb close-ups and slow motion. The film provides an extraordinary, inspiring, and richly textured look at an Olympics the public has never seen before. The movie is rated PG and tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Washington plans
Colonial Christmas
Washington will celebrate a traditional Christmas on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7. Activities planned for the weekend include candlelight tours, open houses, dancing, craft demonstrations and colonial meals at the local restaurants.
Tours will leave every hour, beginning at noon each day. Strolling carolers will also entertain.
There will also be special events for children, including a showing of Scrooge at the Gay Street Theatre, storytelling at the library, and a children’s Christmas bazaar and gift-making program at the Child Care and Learning Center.
