Let Ed Clark tell you about Marilyn Monroe ... or would you rather hear about Winston Churchill? Witty and entertaining, Mr. Clark will be the first speaker in the Rappahannock County Library’s series of “Second Friday” monthly programs.
Ed Clark was a staff photographer for LIFE magazine from 1943 until 1963. During that time he covered stories ranging from the Nuremberg Trials, Paris in the ’40s, and Russia after the era of Stalin, to Hollywood in its heyday. Humphrey Bogart justified giving Mr. Clark exclusive rights to photograph his wedding to Lauren Bacall by calling him the only “gentleman photographer” he knew.
