To the editor:
I have noticed that, during the last 15-20 years, a lot of our young people have picked up and left Rappahannock County. I am not sure what all the reasons are for this, but I suspect that it has a lot to do with the fact that we don’t have much business here and therefore have very few jobs available for young people.
One reason for this is the zoning laws that we have in Rappahannock County, which do not favor business or industry. Many of us felt, up to now, that at least the county was trying its best to encourage farming. Now, though, 1 read in the Rappahannock News that the county wants to tighten up on the constitutional rights of farmers to house their employees.
