To the editor:
We have been in the orchard business for many years here in Rappahannock County and, therefore, had more than just a little bit of interest in the article we read in last week’s paper about the increased regulation of orchardists by the Board of Supervisors.
Why does the county want to make it more difficult for a farmer to stay in business? It seems to us that, with federal taxes, state taxes and local taxes, plus federal and state regulations, it is already difficult enough for people like us to stay in
