To the editor:
In the midst of other concerns which our county is facing, we must not forget its most important resource of all - the children. This county’s children have waited over a decade for an adequate high school facility. Parents, teachers, School Board members and school officials have waited. A high school improvement plan (for a building that was inadequate and undersized since it was built in 1959) has gone down the tubes two times already during the past decade. But we’ve never gotten this far. We’ve spent $75,000, authorized by the Board of Supervisors, and plans are ready for bid.
Now the supervisors must act - immediately. They need to call a public hearing, required by law, to get public input on the RCHS capital outlay project. This hearing must be held within 60 days of notification of avail
