doing this? Why, if more regulations make it more difficult and expensive for a farmer to stay in business, is the county imposing more regulations on farmers? If you are going to restrict the right of a fanner to use a house that he paid good money to build, the farmer will have fewer options and, therefore, greater expense.

If you consider the profit margin in agriculture these days, it doesn’t take a lot to see what the effect of policies such as those proposed by the Board of Supervisors will be. Does the county mean what it says when it says it wants to promote agriculture? It seems to me that the Board of Supervisors ought to give this some thought.
