Highway Equipment Operator A The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation has 1 opening for Highway Equipment Operator A at the Bridge Crew, Warrenton Residency. Applications are available at the Warrenton Highway Residency Office or at the Virginia Employment Commission. Completed applications must be submitted before 5:00 P.M. on December 1,1986. Duties: Operate trucks, tractors and rollers, perform manual labor, repairing bridges, patching operations and other handiwork. Qualifications: Possession of a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator's or Chauffeur's License and the ability to pass a performance test on selected equipment specified in the class. A working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of light-duty, power-driven, Highway equipment; a working knowledge of the State Laws and Agency Regulations governing the operation of equipment on the highways; ability to make routine reports on hours worked or materials used. Selected applicants must successfully complete prescribed physical examination by a qualified physician. Salary: $11,735-$16,021 (Grade4)
