Rappahannock County Elementary School classes have been disappearing into the woods behind the school. There’s no need for alarm - they’re just going to the outdoor classroom designed and built by high school senior Lee Baines.
The outdoor classroom is a cleared area with six benches for students and a podium for the teacher. It could serve as a teaching area or as a recreational area. Plant succession, erosion examples and numerous plants and animals can be observed from the area.
