Charles Burke
Charles Lewis Burke, 49, of Manassas Park, died Oct. 4 at the Prince William Hospital.
Mr. Burke was bom July 24, 1938, the son of Andrew L. and Ella V. Burke of Catlett. He was employed by Fairfax County.
Surviving with his parents are his wife Peggy Ann Burke, a son Edward Lewis Burke of Manassas, two daughters, Pamela Cornwell and Diane Haynes, both of Manassas, two grandsons, three granddaughters, two brothers, Robert Burke of Catlett and Earl Burke of Aldie, and a sister Ella Mae Johnson of Manassas.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 7 at Lee’s Funeral Home Chapel, Manassas, by Rev. Ken Taylor. Burial was in Stonewall Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Donnie Cornwell, Robert Haynes, Kenneth Burke, Mack McFarland, Kurt McFarland and Sam Posey.
Milton Gore Sr.
Milton C. Gore Sr., 67, of Washington, died Oct. 9 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
Mr. Gore was bom Aug. 27, 1920, in Washington, the son of the late John R. and Lilly P. Partlow Gore. He was a self-employed farmer and an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son Milton C. Gore Jr. of Richmond and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Oct. 13 at the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
