Mike Massie: “It’s a given that we finish what we’ve already started . . . But if there is a vote in the future between cinder blocks and cement and teachers’ salaries, I’ll vote for the personnel . . . With good teachers and administrators, the curriculum will t^ke care of itself . . . My family has 165 years in Rappahannock County’s public schools, and I can guarantee you that they can tell you more about the teachers they had than the color of the walls in the classrooms.”
The Rappahannock Elementary School PTA’s forum on educational issues was the first of three scheduled before the election.
The second will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Amissville Fire Department, beginning at 3 p.m. That forum will feature the four candidates for supervisor from Jackson District.
