proximately six other users of the tower and everyone who uses it pays rent on it (which helps to keep the cost low). Most of the users are commercial contractors. The Warren County school system also uses the repeater tower. However, the channel is not heavily used. If it is in use it takes only a minute for it to be clear.
Dr. Gangel has tried out the radios all over Rappahannock and beyond. Communication can be made with Fairfax, Castleton, Old Hollow, other county locations and the Piedmont bus which goes to Culpeper. The only area that had limited communication was the dirt road part of Rt. 622 looping through Gid Brown to Harris Hollow. The signal was unable to pass the high Blue Ridge Mountains to reach Linden Mountain.
