School will kick off fund raising activities for their scheduled trip to Williamsburg with a Halloween Fun Fair. The Fair will be held on Saturday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities featured include games, prizes, spook house, and go-kart rides. Admission is only 25 cents.
The Washington Water System well has reached a new low and it is mandatory that the town water will be cut off each night at 9 p.m. in order to replenish the supply for daytime use. Town officials believe, at best, there is only a ten-day supply on hand. Subscribers to the water system are requested to please be frugal with the water usage.
The October meeting of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will be held Monday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the courthouse. The planners intend to begin a review of the county's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, the only item on the agenda for the meeting.
