Several delightful puppet characters will be on stage this Sunday afternoon when the Child Care and Learning Center will present puppeteer Allelu Kurten in a free puppet show for children ages 3 to 8. There will be two performances, the first at 2:30 followed by a second performance at 4 p.m.

The original plays written and produced by Mrs. Kurten will be “The Toymaker,” a story of two children who make war and learn about making peace and an updated version of “The Three Little Pigs” with a new twist.

Mrs. Kurten, whose home is in Hyde Park, N.Y., has been working with puppets for 20 years. She has won several awards for her original children’s stories that teach a lesson about modern day life.
