Arabian horse summer festival
The Arabian Horse summer festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 9:30 a.m. at Frying Pan Park on West Ox Road between Chantilly and Herndon. “This festival will give everyone, even the novice, the opportunity to see so many of these horses in one location, a chance to talk with the many owners, trainers and handlers of these delightful animals,” said an organizer. Higher education meeting
A second meeting will be held to discuss bringing an increased college presence to Rappahannock County on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. at Middle Street Gallery in Washington. Anyone interested in teaching and/or taking college-level courses is invited. The organizers of this effort are Dr. Denise Horton and Laurie Marshall.
Tai Chi Chuan for beginners
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese exercise for health. Morning meditation and internal martial art, a new beginners class will start Sept. 14, from 7-8 p.m. at the Child Care and Learning Center.
