Music and crafts this weekend

The Sperryville Fire Department and Sperryville Rescue Squad will hold their first annual craft festival on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20 and 21, at the Fire Department on Rt. 211 W. All crafters are welcome. To reserve booth space, or for more information, call 987-8170.

“August Court Days” will be held on Aug. 20 and 21 in the historic district of Leesburg, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $4 per person per day, under 12 free. This annual street fair recreates the opening of the judicial court in 1788 and is based on historical events in Loudoun County. Events include 100 demonstrating craftsmen, the Maryland Militia demonstrating Revolutionary War-era military camp life and musketry, a fife and drum crops, strolling musicians and street entertainment, a Children’s Faire, doggers, theatrical reenactment play, art and photo mart and plenty of food. Ham dinners at Hopewell

There will be a ham dinner at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Lignium on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 5-7 p.m. Prices are $6 for adults and $2.50 for children 12 and under.
