Those who test again in the lower quartile will be required to take the new remedial classes. Those who rank in the 26th to 40th percentile nationally will be served by Chapter I programs for the educationally disadvantaged, and those above the 40th percentile will not be required to take any remedial instruction.
At the elementary school, remedial math instruction will be given by a teacher’s aide and remedial reading will be handled through the locally-funded reading lab. Materials already on hand will be used, and students will receive this remedial help in their enrichment period.
