Sharon Marie Payne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Payne of Wash, ington, was married to David Man. uel Dodson of Sperryville on August 6 at 1 p.m. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Kinzy Buracker, also of Sperryville.

The ceremony was performed in Gid Brown Bible Church, Washington with the Rev. John K. Burke Jr. officiating. Carter Galentine who provided . the wedding music sang A Portrait , and Forever Love. The church was decorated with . candles, flowers and bows. The bride, given in marriage by . her parents, wore a white satin gown, with Venice lace. The wed. ding band collar was trimmed with ,-Wedgewood lace. The ball-gown satin sleeves edged with pin striped organza complimented the basque waistline. The lace ruffled hemline :fcand chapel train featured candy box bows. She wore a white Alencon tiara with pearl filament and a fingertipped veil. 'auction items The F. T. Valley Baptist Church is planning an auction, and according ” ‘to the organizers they need donations of saleable items. They will ac/'■pept any items in reasonable „vcondition, and will arrange to pick 'inip the items from the donor’s home. a- The auction will be held at the church on Rt. 707 west of Slate Mills —on Saturday, Nov. 5, beginning at 10 a.m. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the church’s building fund.
