Deep-fat frying in the microwave is not recommended for several reasons. When deep-fat frying food, it is important to maintain the proper temperature control. When heating oil (especially small amounts) in the microwave oven, it can quickly reach dangerously high temperatures. In fact, the oil can reach its flash point and burst into flames.
The heated oil may bubble intensely and splatter. This can soil difficult-to-clean areas, damage plastic parts in the microwave oven cavity and possibly result in bums. The
