He explained that, for example, none of the foreign students celebrate Thanksgiving in their native lands. “They don’t have any idea about Thanksgiving, and have nevertasted pumpkin pie!” For Rappahannock students, Pancake Day, celebrated in Belgium, and Mardi Gras, a Brazilian holiday, would be a new experience, Mr. Currie said.
