These days, the “in crowd” goes to The Inn at Little Washington.
Unarguably, Patrick O’Connell and Reinhart Lynch have the hottest restaurant in the United States, and it would probably be safe to broaden that claim to the world in general. In just one week, the partners, who are chef de cuisine, maitre de hotel and joint owners, have been awarded the American Automobile Association’s Five Diamonds, the Relais et Chateaux’s Red Shield and convinced Phyllis C. Richman, the exacting restaurant critic of the Washington Post to enthuse: “Whatever you’ve heard about it, whatever it costs, an overnight stay at the Inn at Little Washington is worth it.”
