Oktoberfest
at vineyard Prince Michel’s third annual end of harvest celebration, Oktoberfest, will be held Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the winery at Leon, in Madison County. The schedule of events includes activities for adults and children with a variety of musical entertainment, a German car show featuring BMWs, Mercedes, and Porsches in a judged competition, a crafters fair, the Bealeton Flying Circus, food choices from around the world, and tastings of Prince Michel’s awardwinning wines. Musical entertainment will include the Rubber Biscuit Band from Richmond whose repertoire features a mixture of blues, rock, and country music. Tours of the winery will continue throughout the day’s celebration. Prince Michel Vineyards is located in Leon, 10 miles south of Culpeper and eight miles north of Madison on Rt. 29. Tickets for Prince Michel’s celebration of Oktoberfest are $6 in advance, $8 at the gate, for adults, $3 for ages 6-21.
