The main part of the residence consists of a clapboard-covered IV2story log house which now contains the living room and an upstairs bedroom. In the north wall is a large fireplace, now covered but whose chimney still stands. Joined to this is another log house which is now the kitchen and is dominated by a very large, stone fireplace. Beyond this is the addition consisting of a bedroom downstairs and a sleeping loft above.
