Silas Martin
Silas Henry Martin, 90, of Amissville died Oct. 6 at Fauquier Hospital.
Mr. Martin was bom in Rappahannock County on Jan. 6, 1898, a son of the late James and Ann Martin. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Amissville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife. Vir gie Scott Martin, Amissville; two daughters, Anna Mae Rhoades, Annandale and Doris M. Stover, Warrenton; two sons, Silas M. Martin, Amissville and Douglas Martin, Mechaniesville; two sisters, Rosie Jenkins, Falls Church and Lacy Settle. Culpeper; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at the Amissville Baptist Church on Oct. 9. with the Rev. James Floyd officiating. Interment was in the Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were deacons of Amissville Baptist Church.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
