For residents on the north end of the county, Mrs. Stamer has come up with several suggestions in Warren County. The county runs a recycling center near the airport. The money from collected recyclables will benefit the county’s animal shelter.
To reach the center, take Route 340 south from Front Royal to Route 619fT&rn right on Route 69 and go three miles to Route 68. Turn right again, and watch for a sign for the “Julia Wagner Animal Shelter Collection Center.” The center will take aluminum, newspapers and glass.
Zuckerman Metals in Front Royal, located at 221 East Fifth St., will accept any ferrous or non-ferrous metals for recycling. The company will also pay 55 cents apiece for old batteries. For more information about what they will accept, call 635-2105.
