Mr. Fisher said the town had decided against a door-to-door survey, and will opt instead to include the two-page document, which is confidential and need not have any name attached, in the January water bills. He added that the bill will include a note that the survey is voluntary and confidential, and will help the town to receive the water grant.
The treasurer told his fellowcouncil members that in the last CDBG cycle, of the 45 applicants 33 received funding, at an average level of $660,000. Washington is seeking a $700,000 grant for the water project. “So w-e are right in the ballpark with our request, ” he said.
