I was disappointed that Governor Baliles did not propose a tax rate reduction or legislation that would correct the inequity in the tax on capital gains.
F ortunately, President-elect Bush has promised to seek correction at the federal level. If he is not successful in 1989, I will consider introducing another bill in 1990. Since we will have a new governor then, I may be more successful.
