Springtime Fantasies

The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will have their annual fashion show on Sunday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. This year’s show “Springtime Fantasies” will feature fashions from Franks and Warren Quality in Front Royal as well as fashions from Country Manor and The Faith Mountain Company in Sperryville.

Proceeds from the events will go to the annual scholarship for a Rappahannock County High School graduating senior and the Rappahannock Library.

Patron ads and tickets are available from any member of the club. For additional information about the show or the club please contact club president Barbara Burke at 987-8058.

Special program at Macedonia

A special Martin Luther King Jr. program will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. “Come out and enjoy an evening of poems, readings and songs,” said an organizer.

Airbrush demonstration

Middle Street Gallery is sponsoring a free airbrush demonstration by Steve Wagner Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. Wagner is a commercial artist whose work has appeared in the Washington Post and many national and international publications. The demonstration will take place at Sycamore Hill, the Wagner residence just east of Washington. Call 675-3267 for information.

Middle Street Gallery will be closed until February 17 when an exhibition of Western Native American A rt will be opening.

CCLC offers fingerprinting

The Child Care and Learning Center will host a fingerprinting session offered by the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department. The fingerprint cards will be given to the parents to keep. The department will keep no record of the prints. The purpose of the fingerprint card is for the parent to have available to them identifying information in case their child is missing or kidnapped. All ages of infants and children may participate whether they are affiliated with the Center or not. Call 675-3237 if you would like to have a record of your child’s fingerprints.

La Leche League meets

For mothers who have considered breastfeeding their baby, but who have questions, contact the Culpeper La Leche League. This month’s meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 9:30 a.m. at 1905 Lamphier Street in Culpeper. For further information call (703) 6725727.
