The arrests’of three men in Highland County may have broken a burglary ring which was responsible for the thefts of furniture and other household items from a number of county homes.

According to Rappahannock. County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Ed Streapy, the three are suspects in the breaking and entering of vacant houses in Rappahannock County, beginning in January 1988. Capt. Streapy said that some items taken in the„thefts have been recovered.

A county grand jury returned a total of 24 felony indictments against the three men last month. The suspects and indictments are:
