So far, the Rappahannock Panthers have played “snow ball” rather than basketball, in the words of Coach Gary Leake.
With only one game under their belts and two already canceled, the Panthers stand at 1-0 after a seasonopening win against Luray High School on Dec. 6. The Bulldogs fell to Rappahannock in front of a capacity crowd at RCHS, 53-49.
The season’s second contest against Clarke County on Dec. 8 was also cancelled, as was a rematch against Luray set for Dec. 1^2. The Luray game has tentatively been rescheduled for Jan. 10, but no date has been set for the Clarke County game, according to Coach Leake.
