efforts have reduced fatalities by more than 60 percent, but that’s not good enough.

We must have your help to bring an end to highway work zone fatalities. When you’re out driving to, work, the beach, the mountains orjust to the grocery store, keep an. eye out for signs warning of upcoming highway construction or maintenance work. Slow down and stay alert when driving through the work^ site. Don’t let yourself become hypnotized by the white lines on the highway. That’s all it takes.

Having an accident in a highway; work zone could destroy a few orange cones or signs and maybeeven dent up your car. Or as in the case of the five individuals I’ve al-. ready mentioned, an accident could result in death. Please drive carefully through the work zones.
