Can’t help? I think she did all the work! All I did was load the bags she filled onto my pick-up truck, as my 12-year-old daughter got lost in a world of old necklaces and earrings. We piled the bags of clothes and toys to the top of the cab of the truck.
Voila! Now she had an entire room she could use again. You know, helping her get that room cleared and seeing her eagerly planning on how to rearrange the chairs and tables, is a feeling hard to describe. We forget that older people sometimes need the help of younger people.
I took my donated goods back home and I’ve been washing and sorting for three weeks.
Every time I open another bag and see those heavy duty men’s pants (we even have extra, extra large) and insulated winter coats, all in excellent condition! I get the best feeling, knowing that people can use these clothes right away.
We have men’s clothing in all sizes: small, medium, large and extra large; women’s sizes 6-16 and up; girl’s and boy’s sizes 4/5 to 16 and babies from 0 to 4 T.
