Blanchard indicted
David Adamson Blanchard Jr., 36, of Flint Hill, was indicted by a county grand jury on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture.
The charge resulted from an aerial search of the county in July by a joint National Guard, Virginia State Police and Sheriffs Department task force. A total of 59 suspected marijuana plants were seized from two patches in Blanchard’s yard off Route 631 north of Flint Hill.
His next court appearance, for entry of a plea, is set for Jan. 8. He remains free on bond.
