As the time nears, pre-registration forms are numbering and runners, countywide, are preparing for the I2th annual Fodderstack 10K Classic.
“I’ve got two weeks to prepare for the race,” county resident and veteran runner John Borgens said, adding his two weeks was measured from the time he ran the Boston Marathon on April 16 to the Fodderstack race date of April 28.
The treacherous course begins its climb over hill and dale on Rt. 522, north, in Flint Hill and meanders via Fodderstack Road into Washington, 6.2 miles later, to conclude before the historic courthouse.
Pre-registration forms are available at most country stores around Rappahannck and at the county building and zoning office, during business hours.
Cost for this year’s race is $10 — preregistered — or $12 the day of the race with all proceeds benefiting the Rappahannock Park.
