The Inn to put up signs. Any other changes would require a special use permit. Owner Patrick O’Connell said, “What we are proposing will dramatically increase the architectural value of the town. Property values will increase, and there will be a tax benefit to the town. It’s just common sense. Main Street across the street is already a commercially zoned area. We’re not the first.”

Mrs. Parrish said, “We have one application for rezoning for two different locations, Main Street and Gay Street. Can’t we split this up somehow. Most of the comments are about Main Street. I have a pretty open mind on that, but not Gay Street.”

Town attorney Frank Reynolds said, “You have to vote on the application, but the applicant can agree to change certain parts of the application, to zone less of it Village Mixed Use.”

Mr. Dickey said the two lots the owners were applying to rezone “aren’t Main Street and Gay Street. The drainfield for the Sisk house goes to Gay Street. The special use permit process would address that.”

Mr. Reynolds said to change the rezoning request the owners could not leave a “non conforming lot on Gay Street, but they could agree to a boundary adjustment between the Sisk and Almond lots.”
