The Moving Arts, Inc. of Warrenton will present the exciting Chicago based dance troupe on Saturday, April 28 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium at Fauquier High School, 705 Waterloo Road in Warrenton.
Under the direction of Meribeth Kisner, Chi-Town will perform numerous pieces that have been described as “spirited, soulful, gutsy and decidedly fresh” — this emerging art form called jazz dance. It represents all the varied cultures that make up this country — black, white, Oriental and Hispanic. The coming together of the cultures produced jazz music and hence jazz dance.
