The society’s first order of business is to establish the Head Spring of the Conway River; enter it’s location into the National Register and of Historic Places; have it “marked” by an accpetable monument prepared by the Harpers Ferry Center, NPS and approved by the Mid-Atlantic Region of the National Park Service, Department of Interior.
A second “Charter Membership Year” meeting of the SFFXS has been scheduled, October 13th, 14th of this year at The Lodge, Blackwater Falls State Park, Davis, West Virginia, (1-800-CALL WVA). A visit and planning review of the famous and infamous Fairfax Stone, Tucker County, West Virginia is scheduled.
