Charles W. Burch
Charles W. Burch, 76, of Rixeyville, died April 11 at the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mr. Burch was bom April 11, 1914 in Batesville, Va. He served three years in the Armed Forces during World War II and was a retired meat cutter for Grand Union.
His parents were the late Charles and Maizie Burch.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Burch; two sons, Charles M. Swope of Ft. Worth, Texas and James D. Burch of Noakesville; four daughters, Mrs. Judith Ann Windingland of Warrenton, Mrs. Cathy Mae Rishel of Alexandria, Mrs. Patricia L. Lanning of Woodville and Mrs. Ginny Lynn Rider of Culpeper; one brother, Warren Burch of Almogordo, New Mexico; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 13 at Clore Funeral Home with the Rev. Jennings Hobson officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery with full military honors.
Taylor W. Smoot
Taylor Wilson Smoot, 54, died Monday, April 9, in Aiken Medical Centers, Aiken, South Carolina. Mr. Smoot was the son of Harvey F. Smoot of Washington, Va. and the late Cecil R. Smoot.
Mr. Smoot was a native of Washington and lived in Clearwater, S.C. for more than 20 years. He was a retired deputy from the Aiken County Sheriffs Department. He was also
