by Medicare or other health insurance, the physician has agreed, for this project only, to accept insurance assignment as payment in full. If the patient has no medical insurance, the care is free.
To qualify the patient must be age 65 or older and a U.S. citizen or legal resident. The patient must no longer have access to an eye physician and surgeon (ophthalmologist) he or she has seen in the past.
