MECHANIC A -01611 Our Warrenton Residency Shop is looking for a qualified individual to repair and maintain highway equipment and state owned vehicles to ensure safe operation. Duties Include overhauling; adjusting, and repairing components; inspecting and performing preventive maintenance on vehicles; and welding. Must have knowledge of general shop practices, diagnostic and repair techniques; and skill in mechanical repair of engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components. The successful candidate needs the ability to perform heavy manual labor; operate shop equipment such as engine analyzer, welder, and wheel balancer; read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; and become certified as a state inspector. A vallid VA operator's license is required. Employment is contingent on the timely receipt of a Commercial Driver's License. Salary: $15,661 821.393 with excellent benefits.
