Service board to meet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at the Orange Gourmet Restaurant, 182 Byrd Street, Orange, Va.

Parkinson’s discussed
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m., Culpeper Memorial Hospital will sponsor a free health forum for the community on Parkinson’s disease.
Led by Dr. George Stergis, Culpeper neurologist, the presentation will take place in the boardroom of the hospital.
Spaghetti feast planned
The seventh grade at Rappahannock County Elementary School will host a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17. Income from the trip benefits the Seventh Grade’s Williamsburg trip. Prices are $6 for all you can eat; $5 for a single serving, and $3 for children 10 and under. A band and choral concert will follow the dinner.
Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus will visit the country to meet the boys and girls of our community on the two weekends before Christmas. The Rappahannock Lions Club was so pleased that the members built a temporary shelter for Santa and his slelgh on the front lawn of the Public House in Flint Hill. Local horses and some cows have kindly agreed to share hay with Santa’s famous reindeer.
All community kids are invited to meet Santa Claus in person for photo opportunities and to negotiate for hopedfor presents from 2 to 4 p. m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 12 and 13 and again on the 19 and 20.
