Due to the changes in the pesticide laws, the classes are longer than in the past. Farmers can have their private pesticide applicators permit renewed for an additional two years even if it does not expire this year by attending one of these classes.
Once a pesticide license expires, the test must be retaken. The new test that will be used starting Jan. 1, 1993 is a lot harder.
