First Friday Series
On Dec. 4, the Rappahannock Library’s First Friday Series presents “Down From the Mountains,” a program that will examine the lives of the mountain people before and after the coming of the Shenandoah National Park. It should be both an educational and emotional evening of great interest to all who live in this area and have wondered what it was like to live along the Blue Ridge in the early part of this century, and what happened to families forced to leave their homes to make way for Shenandoah National Park.
The program begins at 8 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room. A reception with refreshments will follow. Admission is free. Call the Library at 675-3780 for more information.
