He noted that the business council sponsors four weekends a year, Memorial Day, the Apple Harvest in September, Blue Ridge Christmas and the Presidents’ Day weekend in February. “We get more people for Memorial Day and the Apple Harvest, but for Blue Ridge Christmas we get more shoppers,” he said.

Mr. Swindler said funds from the raffle will be used for a scholarship for a college bound high school senior.
