The rich tradition and quaint charm of historic Washington, comes alive beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, with personal character tours and historic tours of the art and architecture of the town.
These walking tours through the streets laid out by George himself in 1747 will end with 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. candle-lit tours through the gaily decorated streets while strolling carolers weave through the village, bringing back fond memories of holidays of yesteryear.
Throughout the town professional crafters and artists will b^ demonstrating their skills. Demonstrations include a variety of jewelry techniques, gold and silver smithing, hand-made beadwork, floraculture decorations, folk art painting, musical instrument making, wheat weaving, print making without a press, and other traditional crafts and art.
There will be a children’s bazaar with beautiful children’s toys and books with special activities for children.
