Several pesticide recertification classes will be held in the surrounding counties for those applicators who need to have their licenses renewed.
Following is a list of the scheduled classes. You are requested to call the Extension Office in the county where you plan to attend the course so that they know you are coming.

Eligible landowners need to vote in the upcoming ASC Committee election.
Rappahannock County has three ASC communities. The election process is on a three year rotational basis and only community B, LAA-2 will vote this year.
Eligible voters can select no more than three candidates. These candidates are on the ballot:
A.F. Cannon, James H. Falls, Irma L. Hensley, L. Nelson Revercomb, and A. Y. Stokes.
The ASC committee election is conducted by mail. The secret ballots were mailed to eligible candidates on Nov. 19. Voters may also get ballots at the county ASCS office.
Voters are reminded to read and follow the instructions carefully to ensure a valid ballot. A common error is no signature. Without the signature, the ballot is invalid and will not be counted. Voters should sign the label and affix to the back of the return envelope.
Ballots must be returned to the county ASCS office by Dec. 7.
Programs will be conducted on a nondiscriminatory basis without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status or disability.
