Williams, a senior, made the first team, All Bull Run District at the end of last season. “He was the team’s leading scorer (averaging 18 per game), and the team’s leading " rebounder (12) last season,” Leake said. “He has the potential to be a very good basketball player with his strong inside game and his ability to grab offensive rebounds", he addded.
“Williams must assume a leadership role for us this year,” Leake said. As one of pnly two returning seniors who lettered last year, he is going to be counted on heavily for the balance of our inside game both on offense and defense,” he said.
“Last year we were 7-14. It was the first year in seven seasons we have not won at least 12 games,” he said. “Five of those losses were by a total of nine points. What we missed last season was seasoned leadership at the end of close games,” he said.
