thur Brown of Florida; six daughters, Joyce Gingerich and Edna Brown, both of Alexandria, Mary Roberts of New Jersey, Gracie Brown and Debra Brown, both of Warrenton and Katherine Crawley of Arlington; one brother, two sisters; 31 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Jett.
A funeral was held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill with the Rev. Janies Price officiating.
Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of the arrangements.

Bowers Sr.
Marshall Ashby Bowers Sr., 71, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mr. Bowers was bom May 3, 1921 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Robert S. and Blanche Monroe Bowers.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Culpeper.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Belle Bowers; two sons, Marshall Ashby Bowers Jr. and Roy Lee Bowers, both of Culpeper; four daughters, Margaret Ann Shifflett and Darlene Bowers, both of Culpeper, Mary Jane Bowers of Madison and Juanita Bowers of Rixeyville; three sisters, Jessie Fincham of Culpeper, Louise Smith of Madison and Robbie Lee Bell of Wilmington, N.C. and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 27 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. Charles Shifflett officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery with frill military honors.
